Digital collages, 2008- 2021
by Julia Willms
Collages based on digital imaging techniques, 21 x 14,8 / 14,8 x 21 cm
Since 2008, I have made a series of images for the context of the Lucky Bag, a concept in which artworks are sold in a sealed bag. The person buying knows the name of the artist but only gets to see the work after buying it. I have made an image a year for this context, a derive of spaces processed into digital collages. Every new space collage is made around one element of the previous image. This way, the works are both independent images and together they create a series over time. The collectors can follow the process knowing every new image will be in dialogue with the previous.
